In this chapter, your child will learn how to:

  1. Write about an object that he or she has created
  2. Write a poem using the letters of his or her name
  3. Write about the multiple uses of his or her favourite object
  4. Write about a photograph that he or she has taken

The materials you would need for this chapter are:

  1. Clay or Plasticine or Plain Paper or Lego Blocks
  2. A camera to take a photograph
  3. Colour pencils or markers

 

 

In this chapter, your child will learn how to:

  1. Brainstorm ideas about family
  2. Organise these ideas into coherent paragraphs
  3. Plan and write a full story on the topic of Family

The materials you would need for this chapter are:

  1. A photograph of your child’s favourite family member (optional)
  2. Colour pencils or markers

 

 

In this chapter, your child will learn how to:

  1. Brainstorm ideas about friendship
  2. Organise these ideas into coherent paragraphs
  3. Plan and write a full story on the topic of Friendship

The materials you would need for this chapter are:

  1. Origami Paper
  2. Clay
  3. A smart device to access YouTube

 

In this chapter, your child will learn how to:

  1. Describe his or her neighbourhood in detail
  2. Create and write about an entire kingdom filled with things and people
  3. Write a letter to an alien friend about the kingdom

The materials you would need for this chapter are:

  1. A smart device that is able to capture photographs and videos
  2. Drawing block and colour pencils or cardboard boxes with plasticine
  3. Styrofoam board, marshmallows & toothpicks

 

In this chapter, your child will learn how to:

  1. Create a superhero or superheroine character
  2. Design a superhero or superheroine comic strip
  3. Write a superhero or superheroine origin story

The materials you would need for this chapter are:

  1. Drawing block, colour pencils or markers
  2. A plain white T-shirt and acrylic paints or fabric markers (optional)

 

 

In this chapter, your child will learn how to:

  1. Plan an itinerary for an adventurous trip
  2. Describe places using the senses
  3. Write a postcard to someone about the entire adventure

The materials you would need for this chapter are:

  1. Smart device to access Google Maps or a physical map or globe
  2. Colour pencils
  3. Smart device to do research (optional)

 

In this chapter, your child will learn how to:
